Tire wear from over inflation | |
|
Wear in the center of the tread, with less wear to the outside shoulders, is almost always over inflation of the tire. Too much air pressure causes the center of the tread into contract with the road.
A tire that is mounted on a wheel that is too narrow for its width can also wear in a similar fashion, even if properly inflated. |
