Tip 91, Higher octane fuel, (e.g., 93 instead of 87) does not represent increased performance. Higher octane causes fuel to burn at a slightly slower rate in the combustion chamber and is necessary in high compression engines. In lower compression engines it will have no effect, all other factors being equal.
