Even new vehicles have a monthly repair and maintenance cost.  It may not be paid every month, but on average will be there.  For instance, in 36 months the vehicle may need several oil changes, perhaps a set of tires, brakes, maybe a belt and other maintenance.  New cars may average about $30.00 per month.

Cost on older cars largely depends on the previous care they have received.  The less previous care, the higher the eventual cost per month.  A figure of $200 per month may be considered a high limit.  When cost exceed this amount a newer vehicle might be considered.  This example assumes $180.00 per month.
